Stethoscopes
Stethoscopes across the full range, from student dual-heads to cardiology-grade and electronic instruments. 3M Littmann covers Classic III, Cardiology IV and the electronic 3200; Spirit and Prestige cover dependable everyday and teaching use.
Match the instrument to the listening you actually do. A Classic III is more than enough for general ward observation; a cardiology chestpiece earns its cost where murmurs and subtle low-frequency sounds matter. Paediatric and infant chestpieces seal properly against a small chest where an adult diaphragm cannot.
Tubing hardens with heat and skin oils, and that happens faster in Singapore than in cooler climates. If sound has dulled, replace the eartips first and the tubing second — both are far cheaper than a new stethoscope.
